Blake wasn't having it though and when he meets Cassie Jensen working at the diner, he figures she is just another one. He couldn't be more wrong, Cassie isa proud woman who recently lost her father, she is making ends meet to pay of her debts and get on with her life.When Blake expresses interest and a little bit of respect, Cassie doesn't know what to think about the hot tempered man who is sending mixed signals. Blake needs to decide if he wants Cassie enough to keep her or push her away enough that someone else will claim her.
This was a great one. I liked Cassie and was ready to strangle Blake. He freaks and in such a way you want a little groveling for Cassie's hand. This is the type of book you pick up and don't put down until the end. Wonderful read with a hot alpha male.

a good read again by Ms Wards, so far every book she has had been good. romance, funny and I would read this again
We all want a gardian angle, well her's was a stetson wearing devil. Can you say Alpha male and strong barbie. good read, fantasy for any woman.
this book is so hot and sexy it could make a grown woman giddy. I wish it had been a little longer but it is a completely fulfilling story with strong characters. you will love it
I loved the book and enjoyed how Blake mellowed over time. I have no idea where one of the reviews thought this book was as terrible! The main characters are strong and he had you hanging on every word.
This is quite an exhausting read. Hot, cold, hot, cold. Simple story written slowly and a bit of a drag. Other reviewers have given more detail so I won't even go there. But my recommendation is don't bother. I've read similar plots with much more flair and drama and excitement. This is just boring. Get it when it's down to a dollar.
I truly loved this story. Once I started to read it I could not put it down. Eventhough, this is a short story I like the way the author took the time to develop the story between Cassie and Blake. I really like that they started off as sprt of friends and then became romantically involved. it also shows how the power of love can heal the soul. I like this writer's style of writing. This is the first book that I have read by her and I'm sure I will read more. You need to give this book a try. I am sure that you will not be disappointed.

The writing was okay, not the best. The story was predictable.

Everything went a bit too perfectly. The ending was tied up in a rushed happily-ever-after, which annoyed me a little bit. There were a few subjects that were brought up in the beginning and never really dealt with during the whole book, which makes one wonder what was the whole reason of bringing them up in the first place (heroine's studies to become a doctor, her dad selling her horse, her being able to do ranch work but still settling to just pop out babies and making food).
